The Beauty of $7 Dollar Script

Happy New Year!

Taiwan New YearSomewhere deep in my soul is hiding a collector as my entire life I have collected serious or silly things.

I collected stamps and post cards as a kid. My father was a stamps collector, he taught me a lot, and when he wasn’t with us, I was still a kid, and my stamps collection was as a religion to me…

As an adult who loved to travel, I collected:  masks, shells, ceramics, and books.

On a technical side of me, as a long life Programmer and System Analyst, IT Consultant I collected:

  • Scripts
  • Macros
  • Templates for: websites, eBooks, Blogs
  • Pictures as well

Recently I made an inventory of my scripts and I was amazed to discover very good scripts, some forgotten, some not used now, and some I have used with a great joy for years, and I saved a good part of them.

It was a blessing as I have had a hard drive failure and I lost a lot of tools, software, and digital products. It really has been an unhappy experience – to be polite with myself.

Philippines Volcano New YearI am trying now to re-create Michey’s world, I had some backups not very recent, and it is impossible to recuperate all I accumulate in 1 G hard drive which was over 2/3 full.
The biggest lost is on software:

  • I have some ".exe" to recreate a part of them
  • I contacted some marketers I know personally, I explained, and all of them was very gracious and sent me the download pages from the products I bought from them. But I can do this only with people I knew face to face from seminars and conferences I attended. I cannot do it with “e-mail friends” from whom I occasionally buy a package
  • I have around 30% software lost forever, except if I want to buy again… but  some of them are not for sale anymore

It really is a painful experience which I work hard now to overcome. The good part is that I have now a PC with a better speed; as usual it is a good part and a bad part on any event of our life.

I want to present to you one of my favorite script, and in future posts I’ll continue to present more scripts from time to time.

I am doing this to implement the idea of

  • Saving time
  • Do some tasks the easiest way possible
  • Make money quickly and easy or
  • Help to create automated systems which are a subject I’ll dedicate myself in 2010

This is an amazing script called “$7 Dollar Secrets” created by Jonathan Leger who sold the script to Don Morris.

Note: After Don Morris bought the script from Jon, he did some changes, and I spent some time today to find out his changes. It is  just a different way of packaging, nothing major. Actually it is an improvement as his Installing Manual is more detailed and easy to follow.

The "$7 Dollar Secrets” is a report in which you will find out why the $7 Dollar script is important, why it is a good idea to sell $7 Dollar products, and if you buy it, the package contains:

  • The PDF Report, within the report it is a link from where you can download the rest of the items from this list
  • The user manual to install the script (PDF)
  • And the SCRIPT
  • Some templates which you can customize for your needs
  • Also you will get an “administrator back-end system”, to monitor your sales, affiliates and more
  • All of those for $7.00

The reasons why I love this script are:

  • You immediately can start making money promoting this Report, the script contain your PayPal email address and when you promote you get $7.00 directly in your PayPal account – this means you get 100% commission as an affiliate, and if you introduce an OTO you get 50% from it as well, again directly in your PayPal. All you need to do is to drive traffic to the URL. Jonathan who knew how to drive traffic, made $3,000 in 7 days. Not bad for a $7.00 product
  • You learn to use the script for all your products, you can modify the $7.00 with whatever amount you want, but I advise you to earn on back end (OTO) which can be MRR to your product or a different product
  • The script automatically solve the affiliation mechanism for you, and the affiliates will love you because they don’t have to sign up to anything to be able to sell the product,  they don’t need to wait one month or more, they have 100% directly in their PayPal account immediately
  • The script is very easy to install, the PDF Installation Manual, is doing a perfect job to teach you,
  • The prerequisites are to have a PayPal Account, and basic skills with cPanel, or at least a host which allows you directory permission to set CHMOD 777 (I don’t recommend this way except if you are technical…)
  • To make you life easier the long run, and for this script as well, I suggest to have a host with cPanel, I use Hostgator with a baby plan
  • You can use to promote this report as a method to build your list; it is especially good for beginners who don’t have a list yet.

To your success,  with  7 Dollar Script.

Happy New Year
Michey

FTC Expected Changes for Affiliate Marketing

The info I expected arrived yesterday.  I post today a new module “Straight From the Source - FTC“ in which I summarize the FTC point of view.  I am more relaxed now; I think that at our level – Affiliate Marketers – we have all we need to comply with FTC.

I’ll let you read first:  http://www.squidoo.com/FTC-new-rules

Now I want to comment on what I expect to change in our Affiliate Marketing, and in Internet marketing practice if FTC will do a great job.

They will do it? Ah! Oh! Hm! I don’t know!
I hear voices… What about the First Amendment?

What really? The First Amendment applies in the commercial speech context but we don’t have the First Amendment right to mislead commercial context, if your statement are likely to mislead a consumer to purchase, you First Amendment right ends.

The gurus said...

As an affiliate is better if you don’t use the owner advertizing tools: create your own eCovers, banners, emails, and anyway you must buy a domain and create your squeeze page, and then send a potential customer  to the author sale page.

I was intrigue how somebody can preach something like this, it really was misleading, and you signed on Affiliate Squeeze Page, and then signed again on Owner Sale Page and some of customers ended up not knowing from who they were buying the product.

After years of practice, finally people started to introduce “Product presented by xxxxx” in the squeeze page. Then you knew that was an affiliation going on, and probably you had to sign again. This was valid if you were familiar with this market, if you were a newbie you remained in clouds.
This is going to change dramatically:

  • You better use the owner advertising tools to be sure that you don’t misrepresent the product,
  • You don’t need to buy a domain for a new squeeze page, I like this but I am not going to increase my list, only the owner will do this, or you still do this  but you introduce a clear discloser in squeeze page which will say in stone that you are an affiliate.

How much this will impact the affiliate marketing? More or less people will be tempted to become affiliates? I don’t know yet, it is an open question. Personally I buy a product when I really need that product and I don’t care if I have to put my name on two lists, but how many of you will do the same?

How many of you as affiliates and product owners will invest a lot of money in doing research and gathering info to create “General expected results” based on statistic data?

The old practice to go to your friends or use a big list of a big list owner and say, I give you my digital product for free, but please give me a testimonial.

Those days are gone forever!

What if an employee of a company creates a review of a company’s product?

He needs a disclosure, and the big companies will be wise to introduce strict rules and regulations for their employees.

1traff01
I’ll end with an important note:
Please, don’t look at all this and say it is too much to monitor here, nobody will do it!  You are flat wrong, and you sub estimate the technology power of 21 Century. There are a lot of powerful tools which can do it:

  • Web technologies
  • Crawlers
  • Google Alerts
  • RSS

Just to give you a few.

Until next time all the best

WordPress Multi User eBook

WordPress MU
WordPress MU

is now live and well: http://www.wordpress-mu.net

We also have a lens created with more details:

handpointingenterinfo

http://www.squidoo.com/WordPress-Multi-User

Today I added a module about FTC new rule of  Testimonials. This is a gray area at this point, the FTC will start on 1st December 2009, and the public at large don’t know yet what to expect and how the new rules will be enforce.

To be fair I describe the requirements for testimonials, and soon I’ll create a lens about new FTC rules.  I really think that we must be proactive as the rules are created to discipline people and under this umbrella to collect penalty fees and in the same time there are only a couple of days left and FTC didn’t explain to the public what is requested.

The groups which will be affected are:

  • Bloggers
  • Affiliates
  • Any On-line marketers
  • In a nut shell Internet Merchants

I’ll come with a lens as soon as I can, I am waiting now a response I required for some open issues, and being a Holiday, the response will arrive in 2-3 days, at list this is what I hope.

Two days ago I added to the above lens Flowcharts with the flow of transforming a free Digital Product in a paid Digital Product. I follow the flow for our eBook, but are valid for any Digital Product you have.

I really think the lens is a useful read.

Until next time all the best and Happy Thanksgiving

relax and enjoy 208418396

Hi! Short and sweet note, I feel like dancing!

Last week WordPress got "The Overall best Open Source Content Management System  (CMS) Award"  in Open Source CMS Award category... and the runner-up position  in "The Best Open Source PHP CMS" category.

The CMS Award for WordPress

The single important rival for WordPress always has been Joomla.

Now WordPress is ahead of  Joomla. WOW!

I tried Joomla as well. I recognize that it is a versatile platform for blogging but it is not easy to use and learn, after 2 month of slavery work, I gave up on Joomla for good, and I came back to WordPress the single platform for blogging I really like and enjoy.

It is clear that public perception for the WordPress has been change, this was a contest with 12,000 nominations.

Until the next time, be good, and use WordPress ,  full steam ahead!

Tips To Affiliate Marketing Success

Today I want to chat with you about  - What To Do - to be successful in Affiliate Marketing.

I try to be useful on my niche, but I know that different persons have different ways of learning.  For some it is important to tell the negatives, what not to do. I already have a blog post about the pitfalls:

http://michey.crabbysbeach.com/blogs/common-mistakes-in-affiliate-marketing/

Personally I like to have a Not To Do list, side by side with What To Do list.

I’ll tell you first a little story which influenced the most my career.

Years ago I attended  one week  Seminar on a cruise. When we were at sea, we have conferences, workshop, brainstorms, when we landed on Islands we were happy tourists for a day, or ½ day. The tourist part was great; the technical part was not.

At the end, when we landed we discovered that I big snow storm canceled our flights for East Cost. I wanted to stay longer on airport to see if they can put me on different plane, and I ended up in a restaurant eating as I had no idea how long I had to wait. The restaurant was full with people like me, but I found a small table in a corner, and in 2-3 minutes I “guru” from our seminar asked permission to join me. He had to kill some time too and we started chatting.

We knew each other, we had a cordial relationship but we weren’t friends be any means.  We talked about whether, kids, but we ended up talking about Affiliate Marketing. I didn’t say explicitly but he was intelligent enough to read my mind, and in a delicate way he gave some advices.

That part of the conversation was GOLD. He told me:

  • You have all the ingredients to be successful your problem is your mind set attitude, and
  • You just need very small adjustments to your work habits

I was thinking...  Oh Ya! Advices, advices, we just had one week of advices, what is new… but it was something on his tone and manners which made, stubborn me, to pay attention. I requested details…

  • Be consistent with your work, in some days you work 10 hours, in other 12 hours, some days 6 hours, and will be days in which you don’t feel like working, Michey in those days you must work one hour, but you don’t stop working. You have no idea how much you can accomplish in a short period of time being consistent with your work
  • You never give up working, but if your niche is not working, you are not married with your project, you just change the project. And don’t be hard on yourself; we learn more from our fails vs. our successes. Do you know that 90% of people give up just when they’re about to achieve success? They give up at the last minute of the game one foot from a winning touchdown
  • I know you are stubborn, and probably a lot of people in your life have told you that this is a bad thing, it is not, I love your stubbornness I hope you never change… this is a quote I like from George Bernard Shaw: “Other people see things and say, why? But I dream things that never were – and I say, why not?”

WOW! I really start to pay attention; he was a different person chatting with me… The waiter came 2 times to ask if we needed something else  (it was people waiting to be sited)… Yes, I needed more deserts… as I didn’t want to stop this conversation…

  • You have to start making a clear distinction between the features and the benefits of a project, it is a mental exercise, a skill you need and is coming with experience, it is a foggy concept at the beginning, keep asking yourself
    • Which problem I solve? The response is a benefit
    • How I solve it? The response is a feature

You must transform yourself in a problem solver at that point the people need you more then you need them, your conversion will increase

  • As affiliate marketer, you must sound as a specialist. This is why I said you have to buy and use the project you advertise. Only if you know very well a project you will be able to create a convincing review. All marketers who cut and paste 2 sentences from a sale page and put them in their squeeze page; are losers…
  • You have to learn to say NO, and select careful when you say YES this is important in information overload era, and you never work on more them one big project at a time
  • On other hand you must be and remain curious, curiosity is the first sign of intelligence, you never stop learning new technologies…  I know you do this but I don’t like you complaining about not having enough time…  I said, well this is the reality; probably I have to start outsourcing…
  • Michey Yes and No, depends what you want to outsource, you can outsource mechanical, time consuming tasks, never ever outsource your writing, you are who you are, and you have to remain yourself…

In that moment the ceiling fell on my head, as I was thinking precisely to outsource my writing, and made a favor to my readers…  I couldn’t believe he said that… and I heard my name called, I had a sit on other plane, and I had to go…

It has been three years from our chat, we are good friends now. Thank you Jo, you made a thinker out of me, and yes, I am not perfect but I never outsource my writing, and I am guilty of working at more then one project at a time!  I know, I know…

Now is the right time to cut to the chase on this one.

To be successful as an Affiliate Marketer you need to:

  • Be consistent with your work
  • Don’t give up on working but change without looking back what is not working from you
  • Must look as a specialist, you accomplish this if you buy, learn, and use the product you advertise
  • Use a Squeeze Page to create your own list and buy a domain for it, from your Squeeze Page redirect to the Sale Page of the author
  • Choose reliable autoresponder and host
  • Don’t work by yourself, be generous with your Affiliates and JVs, and offer a split between 50% - 75%
  • Offer different levels of Rights at different prices for your personal products, (and for affiliate products if you bought the Rights):
    • Personal use only
    • Resell Rights
    • Master Resell Rights
    • Private Label Rights
    • Rebranding Rights
  • When you write think if you solve a problem or not
  • Avoid info overload as much as you can
  • Don't spread yourself too thin, advertise only 10-20 projects at a time, but work hard to produce traffic for them
  • Keep abreast with new technologies, new tools can take away some work and improve performance
  • Don't delete email until save them in a folder, they can be your next Joint Venture partners
  • Outsource some work
  • Remain yourself even when success happen to hit you hard!

To your success

Just Started This Group, Welcome

I just started this group to focus on Affiliate Marketing topics.

What really is an Affiliate Marketer?

It is just a "person" who drives traffic to a product.
As an affiliate you can promote:

  • A specific digital product
  • An entire business
  • A website: a membership, an eStore, a review Blog,
  • On-line coaching program
  • An Internet related Service and so on.

The affiliate marketer in return receives compensation for his or her efforts on behalf of the business, most commonly in the form of revenue sharing.

Today I published a Squidoo lens about  Squeeze pages, they are a small but important part of the Affiliate Marketing game:

http://www.squidoo.com/Squeeze-page

I'll take other subjects related with Affiliate marketing and in no time we will get the big picture.

I want to keep on eye on FTC new rules as well, they can change a lot of tactics on Affiliate Marketing and is good to be informed.

I wrote in the past lenses related with affiliate Marketing, I publish them just to have all in one place:

http://www.squidoo.com/Etiquette-Affiliate-Marketing

http://www.squidoo.com/affiliate-workshop

http://www.squidoo.com/BeginnersAffiliateProfit

Until the next time

To our success Michey
